Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and Integration

Psychedelic Integration Therapy is a harm reduction method to help clients prepare and integrate their non-ordinary states of consciousness. This can be through breathwork, meditation, dream work, or psychedelic medicines.

*Keely Brannigan and Soma Counseling does not endorse illegal activity or help clients find psychedelic drugs.

What is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)?

Ketamine used off-label with therapy can treat the root cause of trauma and many mental health disorders. Creating lasting change, new neural pathways (neuroplasticity), and newfound growth.

KAP is a holistic, psychedelic-assisted model that combines ketamine treatment with constant psychotherapy sessions. This model has the potential to access deeper, more meaningful insights and offers lasting change.

What is Ketamine?

Ketamine has been on the top 50 list of essential medicines by the World Health Organization. It is so safe it is routinely given to infants and animals. It has been studied for over 40 years with a high safety profile.

Ketamine is commonly prescribed off-label for mental health issues with a long track record of clinical safety. Beyond its original use as an anesthetic and analgesic, ketamine is also prescribed off label for the treatment of depression and anxiety and other mental health challenges.

Preparation Work

Preparation work can include intention setting, diet, lifestyle changes, social supports, and taking time off to play and rest before and after the journey.

2

Harm Reduction

Harm Reduction includes knowing about a substance including appropriate doses, set and setting, having a "sitter", and having access to appropriate test kits.

3

Integration Therapy

Integration means wholeness. A coming together of all our parts. Non-ordinary states of consciousness can cause mystical experiences, open up shadow work, and cause insights that need time to assimilate. We need to be mirrored back. I can help you process your "downloads" (insights) from these sometimes highly impactful, sometimes difficult experiences.

Group Integration Work

We need each other. Integration work is best done in community. Inquire with me if you are interested!
